I look to see the wildflowers blooming and wonder why they seem so plain
Springtime rides all the brown hills over, young birds sing in the silver rain
I think of you as the night rolls by,
youíre on my mind the whole night through
Far away in a lonesome city, all the time youíre gone, I think of you
And when my world has turned to sunlight,
and the dust clouds stand in the summer sky
Iíll number all the climbing roses, watch to see the milkweed fly
I think of you as the night rolls by,
youíre on my mind the whole night through
Far away in a lonesome city, all the time youíre gone, I think of you
And when I hear the soft wind moaning,
like an angelís voice from a far-off shore
My days slip by like light snow falling,
or dry brown leaves blown by my door
I think of you as the night rolls by,
youíre on my mind the whole night through
Far away in a lonesome city, all the time youíre gone, I think of you

Great cover. Utah was right.

Hope all you fellow Gorksters back east are doing okay in the snow. Ironically, they have to truck in the cold white stuff for the Vancouver, BC Olympics. Its been a very mild winter out here in the wild, wild west.

Spring to Summer to Fall & Winter, all the time they're gone... time to start looking for someone new! I used to listen to this one and think it a nice, sweet little love song, maybe because it came after Ignorance & Priviledge it sounded more carefree. Now, I'm not so sure. Can't stop thinking about them at night, the seasons roll by, they don't spend much time together, doesn't sound like so healthy of a relationship. You could call this JG cover 'sneaky sad', the sound is sweet, the lyrics don't seem to follow exactly. Then again, you could interpret it as the person travels a bit, and the 'all the time your gone' is an exaggeration from the poor person left behind, maybe it is a nice little love song after all...
